Hope Mobility Church Initiative

Engaging, Educating And Equipping Churches

The Church Initiative of HMI seeks to bring a biblical perspective on disability and God’s call to the Church to become congregations of belonging. So that people with disabilities, their families and caregivers know the Hope of Christ and experience the joy of community.

Pastors’ Training and Conferences

Our training focuses on identifying and removing barriers in society and in churches that impact people with disabilities. We provide curriculum and resources to help pastors and ministry leaders develop a church culture that sees all people as indispensable parts of the Body of Christ, created in the image of God, and as co-laborers in the Kingdom.

Ongoing Support of In-Country Church Initiatives

God Is At Work In The Global Church.

The Living with Hope Church Initiative seeks to be a part of the movement of the Holy Spirit at work in Affiliate Countries. Currently LWH partners with Hope Mobility Kenya in providing the gift of mobility and sharing the hope of Christ to people with disabilities in Kenya. We partner together in equipping pastors and churches in Kenya through the Hope Mobility Kenya Church Initiative.

Theological Foundations of Church Initiatives HMI

Each person is created in the Image of God with value and purpose.
(Genesis 1:26; Eph. 2:10)

Each person needs Jesus. We live in a fallen world and are all broken by sin. We all need the Hope of Jesus Christ.
(Romans 3:22-24; 1 Peter 1:3)

God is both Good and Sovereign. God’s glory is displayed through our weakness. God uses suffering for his purposes.
(John 9:1-9; Romans 8:18-28)

The Church is incomplete without people with disabilities. God has given a mandate to the Church to “go” and “compel” people with disabilities to come to the banquet so that His house may be full.
(Luke 14: 21-23)

The Body of Christ is made up of many parts, each possesses indispensable gifts to be used in the Kingdom. We are to be co-laborers who serve and minister together.
(1 Cor. 12:20-27)
